Terms of Service

Welcome to SkillRush ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

SkillRush is a marketplace that connects customers with independent service workers. SkillRush is not a party to any agreement between customers and workers and is not the employer of any worker.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.

3. Bookings & Payments

• Customers pay through Stripe at booking time. Funds are held in escrow until the job is verified complete.
• SkillRush charges a 10% platform fee added on top of the booking price. Workers receive 100% of their listed price.
• If a customer does not confirm completion within 48 hours of the worker marking the job done, payment is auto-released, unless the booking is flagged for review.

4. Worker Responsibilities

• Workers are independent contractors, not employees of SkillRush.
• Workers are solely responsible for the quality of their services and for complying with all applicable laws and tax obligations.

5. Prohibited Conduct

• No illegal services, harassment, fraud, or attempts to circumvent the platform's payment system.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Disputes

If a job is disputed, payment is held until SkillRush reviews the case. Decisions are final at our discretion based on the evidence available (photos, messages, and AI verification).

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. SkillRush is not liable for the conduct of any user or for the outcome of any booking.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SkillRush's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount of fees you paid to SkillRush in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
