Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information SkillRush collects and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account info: name, email, profile photo, bio, city, ZIP, phone (optional).
• Booking data: services booked, schedule, location, before/after photos, ratings and reviews.
• Payment data: handled by Stripe. We never store full card numbers. We store the Stripe payment intent ID and payout account ID.
• Messages: chat messages between users for safety and support purposes.
• Device data: basic logs and browser info for security and debugging.

How we use it

• To provide and operate the marketplace (matching customers and workers, processing payments).
• To verify job completion via AI photo analysis.
• To send transactional notifications (bookings, payments, messages).
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations.

Fees & payments

SkillRush is free to browse and book. When a customer books, a 10% platform fee is added on top of the pro's listed price at checkout — it is never deducted from the worker. For example, on a $100 booking the customer pays $110 and the pro keeps the full $100. Workers keep 100% of their listed price. Payments are processed and held in escrow by Stripe and released to the worker once the job is verified complete. Refunds are returned to the original payment method in line with our Refund Policy.

Sharing

We share data with:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Other users — your public profile, posts, and reviews.
• Law enforcement — if required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing skillrushteam@gmail.com. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, posts, and messages, but we may retain booking and payment records for legal and accounting purposes.

Security

Data is stored encrypted in transit and at rest. We use row-level security to ensure each user only sees their own private data.
