Refund Policy

SkillRush holds payment in escrow until a job is verified complete. This policy explains when refunds happen.

Automatic full refund

  • The worker cancels before starting the job.
  • The worker fails to start the job within 24 hours of the scheduled time and does not respond to messages.
  • You cancel the booking before the worker has accepted it.

Customer cancellation

  • More than 24 hours before scheduled start: full refund.
  • Within 24 hours of scheduled start: 50% refund (50% goes to the worker for time blocked).
  • After the worker has marked the job started: no automatic refund — open a dispute if there's a problem.

Disputes

If the work was not completed as described, open a dispute within 48 hours of the worker marking the job complete. We will review:

  • Before/after photos and AI verification result.
  • Chat messages between you and the worker.
  • Any additional evidence you provide.

Outcomes can include: full refund, partial refund, or release of payment to the worker. Decisions are final.

Auto-release

If you do not confirm completion or open a dispute within 48 hours of the worker marking the job done, payment is automatically released to the worker.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the original payment method via Stripe. Most refunds appear in 5–10 business days.
